We finished out our Europe week in England and enjoyed afternoon tea with Grandma Nancy. Shem's grandma, Naconna, was raised drinking English tea and many of his siblings have memories of tea parties with Grandma. Now my kids have the same with their Grandma.
I prepared little sandwiches, scones, honey butter, jelly rolls, and cheese and crackers. Grandma made mint tea with milk and honey.
The kids did their best to use good English manners. It was the first time Mason or Colin had used a tea cup.
Kate was too worried about dropping Grandma's cup to try to lift her pinkie finger.
Thank you Grandma for a delightful afternoon tea party! We love you!
