With both of these cousins turning eight my sister Kathryn and I decided to arrange to have them baptized together. We got the proper approval and scheduled the baptism at our Stake Center for the evening of Friday, April 27th.
Becca's dad, Rene, gave a beautiful talk on Baptism. Kate and Becca's older sister Jessica sang "When I Am Baptized." Shem shared his testimony of the Holy Ghost. Becca was the first to be baptized (in the same dress worn by me, my sisters, my nieces, and Kate), then Adam was next.
While waiting for everyone to change into dry clothes we wrote notes to the newly baptized members. My favorite note was from my niece Kara. It read, "Adam - some edvise from a girl who has tow [two] Baptised Brothers. try to be the best you can. From: Kara."
Adam was then confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and given the gift of the Holy Ghost by his dad.

He is excelling in school and is a fantastic reader. He loves bouncing on the trampoline and playing with friends. He likes to get up at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday since that is the only time he is allowed to watch tv without first doing chores.Adam is imaginative and loves to create weapons. For his birthday we gave him a box full of all kinds of tape and other supplies for his weapons engineering. He wants to be an "army man" when he grows up.
Adam loves his family and loves adventure. He can be a great helper and he loves to laugh with his big sister.
Love you Adam-man!
