A Longing for Warmer Days

Now that summer is officially gone, I quite miss it. There have been so many special things that have happened in our family in the last few months and I am sad to think that they may be lost if I don't write about them. I'm going to spend this week blogging about our last few weeks of summer fun. Then I can get to the exciting stuff.

You see, I've been hung up for months because I prefer to blog in chronological order. I've been wanting to post pics from Kate's birthday and the first day of school. Then there is the triathlon, a walking child, a wedding, and a miraculous baptism. And all this needs to be done before I can post the new family pictures I am expecting in the mail this week!

In the meantime, please enjoy this picture of the most beautiful tree on our street (it happens to be in my front yard...and oh how I am going to miss it). I just raked up the leaves last week.

I hope this is as fun for you as the memories are for me. See you tomorrow!

I love that tree! Is it an October Glory?
