How many people can you fit into a 1500 square foot house when there in a snow storm on your blessing day? Well, we attempted to find out. After a wild juggling of people (a slightly toned down version of a mosh pit or Walmart on Black Friday) we got everyone in and out of the kitchen for a plate of food and somewhat comfortably sat 26 adults and 21 children - yes, 47 people! (I suppose it was a blessing in disguise only a portion of Shem's family could make it.)
Thank you to everyone that came to celebrate with us and especially those that brought yummy foods to share! We love having friends and family in our home and having a good reason to do some heavy cleaning (I found the equivalent of an entire piece of bread crumbled up in the bottom of the toaster oven....and we discovered the couch cushions had zippers so they could be washed!).
Colin was the perfect host for his party and slept peacefully the whole time in the arms of his loved ones. We did manage to wake him up after for a quick photo shoot.

Notice how much more alert he is? I'll tell you more about that tomorrow.P.S. In response to comments from yesterday - yes I do have some pretty snazy air guitar and dancing skills. Perhaps when I aquire posting-video-on-your-blog skills and an increased desire to perpetuate personal embarrasment (it would become a youtube classic, I'm certain) I will further indulge you all!

Oh my GOSH! Your kids are so stinkin' cute. Those pics of Colin yesterday are edible.
P.S. I was there in spirit, but with THAT many people, I would have had a relapse of Social Anxiety Disorder.
Sorry we couldn't be there. It was a combination of I had to work the night before and had a hard time waking up and Jason had a migrane. But our thoughts were with you and your very cute family. We love you guys a ton!
I love the pictures by the way. Very very cute kids.
I think the YouTube thing is a great idea. In fact Chris had the same idea. haha
