Religion and History by the Bishops

Chapter One
In May we were reading a bible story about Peter.  It was the one where in a dream he saw a large sheet descending that was filled with all kinds of animals.  He was told to eat, but he didn't want to eat the animals that were "unclean."  He was told that none of God's creatures were to be considered unclean. At the end of the story Kate commented, "Pigs look unclean, but they are made out of bacon.  Yum!"

Chapter Two 
Kate wanted to share a Book of Mormon with a friend that is not a "Mormon."  After her mother rejected the idea of her daughter reading the book it was promptly returned.  Kate decided instead to offer the book to another friend.  She informed us, "She is a Jewish."   (Get it? A Mormon, a Baptist, a Muslim,...a Jewish.)

Chapter Three
In Sunbeams Mason was shown a picture of The First Vision.  When asked who was in the picture he replied, "The Jesuses."

Chapter Four
This morning Kate and Adam were arguing about the animal bones we had found in the dry creek bed by the cabin in Bear Lake over Memorial Day weekend.  Adam was insistent that the bones were fossils.  Kate set him straight.  "Fossils are things that are like 70 years old!"
