A year can make a big difference.
For Liam's first birthday my neighbor, Shantelle, did his One-Year photoshoot. Too many cute pictures is a good problem to have.
Later that night we attended Mason's Kindergarten Operetta - Peter Pan. Each year the Kindergarten puts on a 30-45 minute Operetta. Each child has a part and everyone sings in the chorus. Mason was a Pirate Singer. They went all out with costumes, scenery, and choreography. We were very impressed with the Kindergarten teachers and our own scurvy pirate!
When we got home, we celebrated Liam's birthday with cake and presents. We had one grandparent from each side there with us - Grandma Mona and Grandpa Steve. (Thanks for the tiger hat Grandma!)
Liam has been such a joy to our family this past year. He is pleasant and quick to smile. He likes to laugh and wave. All the kids fight over the chance to hold him, love on him, or practically smoother him.
He has been a bit slow on the physical advancements. He can scoot on his belly, but he still isn't crawling and he is no where near walking. The pediatrician assured us that this was just fine. He commented, "If I were him I would stay as close to the ground as possible too!"
We sure love our little Liam-biam Bug!
