Last week I was driving in the car with Kate and Adam to see my sister and nieces in Beauty and the Beast. Adam was beside me in the truck and Kate was behind him in the cab. We were enjoying some music on the radio when Adam commented something like this..."You know, if your sink gets clogged what you need is the Turbo Snake. You feed it into the drain, give it a little twist, and pull out the clog." Then Kate jumped in "Yeah, you feed the Turbo Snake into the drain, give it a little twirl, and pull out the clog. It even comes with a hook so you can hang it in the cupboard."
They would have made great little sales people as they smilingly asked me if I really wanted one of those. Kate added a little more to close the sale..."When you go to take a shower and end up taking a bath - you need the Turbo Snake."
If you haven't seen the ad yourself, then your kids are not watching enough Qubo (channel 16-2). Who knew sprinkling kids cartoons with adult commercials could be so effective?
Adam also enjoyed the flat iron with a curved plate. "Get straight hair with volume!" He asked if he had enough hair for one of those. Sorry son, not quite.

Aw come on mom. Every little 5 year old boy could use a little more volume!
Yeah. We went through that Qubo experience. The shows seemed okay but what those commercials did to my kids was horrifying! Lily is particularly susceptible to advertising and I heard about a lot of things I "needed" to buy. No Qubo allowed.
This is why I limit Qubo. I have them telling me what I need all the time.
I love this post! Right up my alley. Might I recommend the Bump It? In case you have not seen the commercial, it is a comb that you place under your hair to get the perfect bump of volume (or mountain in this case). HILARIOUS! It's a good idea if you own a time machine.
