She had a sleepover party and we sewed pajama pants with her friends. (Eleven marks the year when I no longer plan a crazy all-out party. Now it's just about having a few friends and making your own fun.)
Kate insisted that I sew a matching pair for myself as well.
Kate's friend, Malia, couldn't sleep over so she left before we got the group shot.
However, she did manage to stay for part of the crazy. The girls were all standing around the bar in the kitchen when Shem arrived home. He walked past and proceeded to tap Kate on the backside and say, "Hey Cutie." At least he thought it was Kate. It was actually Malia. Oops. That was an awkward one to explain to her dad. Luckily he laughed too and could appreciate how much they look alike and an honest mistake.
