Not Sure How to Reply

I had a very unique exchange with my father-in-law this evening.

Dad has been cleaning out several of his old boxes and usually has interesting things to share like old school work from Shem's childhood or dusty books he no longer wants. I was doing some bookkeeping at Dad's office when he handed me a check. It was a check Shem wrote out to his dad for $65. Dad wasn't sure what the check had been written for and asked if I might know. It was written in August of 1999, almost a year before Shem and I met.

Several minutes later he walked by and handed me a small book, The Mother's Reply.  From what he explained, it is a sensible guide to teaching your children about the birds and the bees.  I'll let you know how it goes after I read more about what a "mother's nest" is.

I'm still giggling about it all.
