Kate and I took advantage of the Spring snow and got in another ski day at Brighton.
We were joined on one of the lifts by a ski instructor. He pegged me as a "local." "What
gave it away?" I asked. He replied, "Your
skis. If you had come from out of town you would have rented something
newer or you would have invested in some nicer equipment." And I thought
my upgrade from $10 D.I. skis to $18 Savers skis this season was pretty
smooth! If only I'd had Cyndi's neon 1990's snow suit. Then I could have shown him what's what.
