Scripture Time

Last Sunday Dad was reading the scriptures to Kate and Adam. He was reading the story of when Mary and Joseph took the baby Jesus to the temple and the stories of His childhood.

When Dad read the verse about the prophetess Anna he asked, “What is a prophetess?” Kate replied, “Someone who tests the prophets” (A prophet-test).

After reading that Simeon was of great age Dad asked what that meant. Adam said, “4!” (To him that is a great age!).

Later Dad read about the Holy Ghost and asked who he is. Kate answered, “A good ghost that comes and makes your heart feel warm.”

When we were wrapping up Dad asked, “What kind of boy was Jesus?” Adam’s answer…”A little boy.”
